"Creativity is intelligence having fun." ~ Albert Einstein
I stumbled upon the wonderful world of non-linear editing software in college. From the moment when I first merged a video clip with a music track, and resultantly realized that the sum of the two enhanced the quality of both while also creating a offspring of poignantly beautiful emotion. From that moment on, I was hooked. In May 2015 I became a film student at Pittsburgh Filmmakers to further sharpen my current video editing and screenwriting skills. You can view some of my projects below and I hope you will recognize some real talent and passion, even in my older music videos.

Some of my Video Editing & Graphic Design Examples

The Dinner Guest
This film project was the first time I wrote a script for my actor, recorded a separate audio track, drew storyboards, and constructed a shot list which made the actual filming so much more professional and simple. This organization also shows in the final result. I created this for my Motion Picture Fundamentals film class at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in the Summer of 2015 and the entire construction of it was a positive experience. The film is supposed to have an eerie, ominous vibe to it. It is my first film node to my favorite genre: horror. The film was edited with Final Cut 7 software. Balloons
This was a fun, 2-minute, non-narrative film that I shot for my Motion Picture Fundamentals film class, also in the Summer of 2015. My friend was kind enough to let me film him in numerous ridiculous shots which strongly imply that he has an obsessive relationship with balloons. This was my first film project captured on a HD camera, and you can tell a difference between it and my older projects. The film was edited with Final Cut 7 software. The Freedom VideoThis was my first foray into video editing, done during my sophomore year at college. It was filmed on Canon Mini DV Tape camera and edited using Adobe Premiere 6.0 on a Windows computer. The project's purpose was to bring many demographics on campus together in a positive response to the events of September 11th, 2001. Though the video is now dated and my skills have since improved, I still consider it to be one of my greatest successes and very fun to watch.

Terri & Steve's Wedding Music VideoThis is a music video I pieced together with footage I shot from the wedding of two of my close friends. This was also shot on a Canon Mini DV Tape camera but was edited this time on a Mac computer using Final Cut Pro software. I was so excited about the union of these two hearts that a music video set to one of their favorite songs felt appropriate.

Adobe Flash Example #1Here is a fun little project I created when I returned to school for Graphic Design & Web Design for a year in 2008. In it the Numbers 1, 2 & 3 morphing into each other. This project uses ActionScript to control the Flash buttons. The buttons located below the Numbers give you power over where to start the animation. You can play it, pause it, or even move slowly one step at a time.

Adobe Flash Example #2Here is a second Flash animation I created in school. It is a picture of Groucho Marx which I drew and then added animation to using Adobe Flash. I was unable to get it to display directly on this site, but you can download directly to your computer so it can make you smile.
